What would be a creative way to hide cords on the floor?

The way I rearranged my room leaves my power-strip and cords in plain view with nothing to hide them behind. Is there any way to cover them up? It’s really tacky looking.

Answer #1

try under the carpet or ( if you have a crease between the floor and the paneling) tuck it under there.

Answer #2

Try taking the rings out of a 3 ring binder and ptn the cords through that. nd hide it

Great answers, but they are dangerous. They now sale an alternative solution to conceal wires using raceway, which runs along the surface of walls and can be painted.

Answer #4

my boyfriend has a lot of cords around the house (for his computer, gutars, ect) and he’s taped them to the edges of the room and cealings, over the rim of the doorway and there very well concealed, you can barely notice them

There is a product on the Canadian market that is useful…check out this link: [link removed]

For a more economical method, I would cut out about a 1/4- 1/2” throughout the length of a 1 and 1/2” diameter PVC pipe. Using a band saw would be easy to do…not so easy to do by hand….(that’s a plastic type of pipe used for plumbing fixtures). Length of pipe would depend on how long you need it to be…6’ or 10’ or more. Then slip all the cords into the pipe slot and nail it into pre-drilled holes into the base corner of floor and wall, at 2’ intervals. Or nail it into a vertical corner, depending on need. …Dave
