Well, the things to look for on a real bill are as follows: - holographic stripe which shows the number 20 when you tilt it at a certain angle - Watermark ghost-image of the queen when you hold it up to the light - between the 2 and 0, there is a thread that runs from top to bottom that is woven into the bill - the security patch in the upper left corner changes from green to gold - fluorescent green dots are seen throughout the bill
The queens shoulder should be slightly raised, there is a watermark 20 next to the small 20 on the right side of the bill, there is a square patch in the upper left-hand corner that should change from gold to green when tilted back and forth, genuine bills will have small green or blue dots, known as planchettes, which can be peeled off.
there is water stains on the bill these should not rub off when you rub the bill across paper. if it is a older bill they have little green dots, these should be able to be peeled off, meaning not conterfeit. Good Luck!
If all else fails, you can actually buy a marker that detects counterfeits, we use it where I work. You just mark the bill, brown means fake and gold means real.
Euan, she's our Queen too, you know....we still have a monarchy here, we just have a separate government.
