Dear dani007. You didn’t say why your mother would like you to see a counsellor? But reguardless she feels you need one. You are going to be very surprised at your visit with the counsellor…this usually gives you a way of giving your side of situations. Have someone who listens to you without judgement. You may find that they will agree with you and try to find ways for your mother to understand your behaviours. Going to counselling ends up being something a lot of my clients look forward to. Give it a try, at least it will be one less thing they can’t blame you for. Sue…good luck

Come home from school… if you don’t then that is one very good reason why you should go see a counsellor. Counsellors cost alot of money and your mum must have a reason why. Why not sit down with her and chat about things that are stressing both of you out… school, work, friends, family etc Listen to her and she will listen to you. Take in turns etc. Then in the end assess whether you need to see one or not. Maybe she may need to see one or you both go to one together? Just find out what she thinks is wrong with you first.
