Could you date someone with depression?

my ex had depression, he was on a lot of medication and had been for a while, he tried to kill himself several times before we met.

I found he was fine and really loving untill we went out drinking so he wouldnt take his medication which made him really bad. we used to argue and he got violent towards we, after a while of this I ended it as I couldnt cope.

I think everyone is different though, just because he tried to commit suicide doesnt make him a bad person, however if you feel he will make you feel guilty and become a burden to you, then I would advice that you wouldn’t. I was fine with my ex until he didnt take medication, if I could go back in time I would change it by telling him how I felt about it, he may have stopped drinking and we may still be together
