What makes someone a cougar?

Is it just given to women, or can guys be cougars too? And what’s the usual age difference for one to be considered “cougar-ing?”?

I don’t think they would call guys cougars. I don’t know what they call older men who date younger women. But when you think of cougars, think of women who date men young enough to be their sons then you’ll get the idea lol

It’s not necessarily a woman in her 40s, it’s just any woman who is a lot older than the guy, so a 34 year old with an 18 year old would probably pick up the same label. And it is specific to women. That’s because we live in a world with double standards. Men arent given names because it is ok for them to date whomever they want.
