Is corny romance a turn off?

there is not too much too this, i was cuddling with my girlfriend and i was making fun of how creepy that song “your beautiful” is, that song is major stalker theme music. my favorite band is Death Cab for Cutie, and she likes them too so i started whispering the song “i will follow you into the dark” she seemed too enjoy it but , i can’t help but think it was just super corny, like i was trying too hard too be romantic.. so the question is, is corny romantic stuff a turn off for you?

There’s ways to be romantic and not be too cheesy. Like sometimes my boyfriend will play a nice song on youtube like Slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer and we’ll slow dance:)
