Home More advice Education & School
hello, my wish is to go to Cornell Uni. in NY. I want to be an equine veterinarian. Here are a few questions I've been going over. oh and I'm a freshman. What looks fantastic on a college resume? Are there equestrian scholarships avalible for equine medicine? How hard is it to be a vet? Can I be a vet tech specialized in horses? any advice? thank you sooo much.=]
P.S. im willing to work my butt off to get into cornell=]
Vets need more schooling than doctors! Large animal vets are in great demand, and yes, you will need to work your rear off. See if you can help at your local vet clinic in whatever capacity you are able and check online for grants and scholarships available through your school. Study hard. What a way to start the new year with great expectations!
Your best bet is checking with the state you live in for scholarships, It depends on every state really. As for Cornell scholarships, check this: http://www.cuinfo.cornell.edu/Student/FELLOWSHIP.html
Hope I helped, I'm pretty useless in this matter.
