It’s really easy to roast a whole chicken.

Just preheat the oven to 325, take out the giblets from the chicken, then rinse the whole bird under cold water. Take a whole lemon and puncture it all over with a fork. Stuff the lemon inside the chicken with about 5 smashed garlic cloves, and some salt and pepper. Rub the outside with butter or oil, then sprinkle with black pepper, garlic powder, salt and paprika. Add about half a cup of water into the roasting pan.

Roast it for about an hour, until the juices run clear. If you want to make gravy, mix a little flour with about half a cup of cold water, add it to the juices in the pan, and carefully bring to the boil. If it’s not very tasty, add a chicken bouillon cube.

Serve with fluffy mashed potatoes and fresh grean beans. Boil the beans for 4 or mins, drain off the water, and add a tsp of olive oil, some salt and another smashed garlic glove.

Your baby will love it too!
