we have looked at this car everytime we went to the lot, its a 2010 elantra. im about to be a senior in high school, im on the cheer team, and i plan on getting a job asap. imma need it to get to and from school since ill have early release and get out after 5th hour, to and from practice, to and from games, and to and from work. i have a great GPA and standing w my teachers. im the battalion commander for my jrotc program so i think i deserve it. how can i show her i deserve it though?
That's what I did I got a car my self and I made the payments my self. go to a used car dealership and find a car that you can afford yourself $1-$3,000 and go with it. I know you want the really nice car but a car is a car and if it runs and get's you from point A to point B safely then that's all you need. now is the time to start saving money so that once you graduate and go to college you have your own money to spend rather than having tho rely on your parents to support you.
She wont let me get s job without a car so I can't buy ons myself. Okay I can ride the bus to school but how am I getting home since I get out at 1 instead of 3 like everyone else, then back up to school for cheer practice and home after cheer practice? To and from football and basketball games? After an away game how am I going to get home at 1 in the morning? If she gets me a car I can get a job and to and from work
Why don't you get a job, save up and buy it yourself instead of relying on your Mum? You'll respect the car more if you work for it, not everything in life is free. I bought my own car, bought parts for it and broke nails working on it and when I'm finished I'll have myself to thank and my hard work to be proud of.
You don't need the car - there are other methods of transportation available to you. If you want the car, you should get it yourself. Perhaps drop your standards a little and get a cheap, but reliable, older vehicle for a price within your means. Your mother shouldn't have to buy you a car.
You could ask politely. but don't beg or wine.just be mature and tell her why you think you should get one and tell her the reasons why because once she realizes why she might understand
I would show her you are responsible by taking on responsibilities. Then she can have more hope that you can get a car.
My mother won't let ne get a job without a car, therefore I need a car
