at 18 you are old enough to get them done without your parents permision. so just go into a piercing place and get them done. your mum doesnt have any say over what you do to your body now. but remember that its still her house, and if she doesnt want something while your living under her house, perhaps get them later. also be aware thta there not all that great, ive had them for over 4 years, as well as 30+ other piercings. your left with horrible, ugly and permanent scars on the top of your lips for ever, and possible a small indent as well, its not pretty when you finally decide to take them out
you dont need to be 18 to get them done you need to be 15 or over but you need your mum there, what i did when i got ma top ear done was i got my pal who looks alot older to come in with me and say i have permission. or sont listen to your mom tell her you are getting them done and you dont care what she thinks and go and get them done
convincing her to let you have them has nothing to do with being able to get them done if you are 18 so what I assume is that you want her blessing to get them. As far as that goes you need to sit down and think if there are any good reasons for getting them that you can bring up. Personally I don’t recommend any visible piercings or tattoos for future employment reasons other than pierced ear lobes. I have a friend that has 5 tattoos but when he is in a short sleeve shirt and jeans you can’t tell. if you can’t get her to agree then wait till you move out and get them then or just don’t get them at all. -best of luck
