Convicted Felons and work

I am doing some research for my boyfriend. I just recently moved to Virginia and my boyfriend is doing time back in the state of NJ. He got a drug conviction but he only has to do a term of 13 and a 1/2 months. I’m trying to get a listing of some jobs that he could possible get once he is released so that he can get a fresh start in this new state. I’ve googled and typed in searches through yahoo but I havent been successful in getting the information that I need. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could help him or find some jobs that he would be able to look into upon his release. I can be contacted back at veronica.crawford@yahoo.com

Answer #1

I have lived in virginia most of my life and I have a drug conviction 25 years ago virginia is one of if not the worst states to live in with a conviction but my family does not want to leave because the best schools are in virginia for kids at least northern virginia. most all companies do a background check for your entire life. as I said before I have had only one conviction 25 years ago and can not find a job.
