Is it possible to continue on with a pregnancy when you have heavy bleeding and cramping?

Home More advice Health

I spent 5 hours at the hospital yesterday because I was having some bleeding and cramping. I did 4 home pregnancy tests (3 of which were positive) They did an ultrasound, blood work, and an internal exam. When my blood work came back, they said I had very low levels of HCG (104 I think). I'm not sure of my last date I had my period. However, this morning I woke up bleeding fairly heavy with more painful cramps. The doctor said I may have lost the baby, or could be in the process of losing it. I just want to know if anyone else has had this happen, and continued on to have a healthy normal pregnancy. I do go back tomorrow for more blood work to see if my levels have risen, and a follow up appointment the following day with the ob/gyn. I just would really appreciate if anyone can say something to put my mind at ease. Thanks
