how contagious is mono?

We’ll if yu shared drinks with anyone or have kissed anyone one there’s a rele good chance you could have given it to them.

She’s probably just being paranoid like Colleen said, if anything you drank out of was washed after you used it then the virus was killed. However, if you were making out with your boyfriend or drinking after him he’s probably got it.

ya thats what i thought, now my bf IS in danger of getting it. but i had no idea, just thought i had a sore throat. but leaving her house just b/c i was there a week before i got diagnosed..>_> its not like I WANTED to be so sick i can’t eat or drink without bein in pain :/

Well if he’s been feeling fine, then he’s probably alright as long as none of your spit made it in his mouth he should be okay.

ya. but his mom is like “AHHH GERMS” and literl=ally left her house b/c i had ebeen there. i already feel terrible, she doesn’t need to make it worse like that…

Mono is highly contagious but only by saliva, (sharing drinks, sharing pillows, kissing, etc..)

lol yea probably, you should explain to her that it is only contagious through saliva, if she is hard-headed then you might have to do research, print it out then show it to her.

shes not gonna let me within ten feet of her. lol the issue is she said that if my bf gets mono hes on his own till hes better >x< made me wanna punch her. i think i’m just gonna let him stay with me. longer drive to classes, but atleast he won’t be alone and sick. its not like i’m gonna catch it from him lol

It can be airborne too, just depends which strand you have. I got it when I was fourteen and didn’t know how. The doctor told me sometimes it is airborne and that was how I got it.
