Depends on the type of person you are. Contact lens does take time, eg: sterilising the contacts before and after each wear. Also with contacts you need to make sure the brand is right for your eyes and everyone is different. They do cost more in the long run as you can either have yearly ones, monthly or weekly disposals. Most private health funds (mine is HBF) covers contact lens. With lens even if the brand is ok for your eyes you still need to have check ups every 2 years just to take sure your eyes are not scratched etc.
Glasses are easier to maintain and look after. You need to select glasses which are comfortable and do not pinch on the side of your temples otherwise it's very uncomfortable and leads to headaches.
Personally, I prefer contact lens when I have to go to work, out socialising and glasses for stay at home wear or if I'm going camping and there aren’t any bathroom facilities. Our eyes are way too delicate to destroy with poor hygiene.
K... am a student, using glasses and wanted a change, the money isnt the problem both my pharmacist brother knidof scared the ghost out of me,told me way too many disadvantages of contact,i know the eyes are delicate buh... he was like the contact makes room for infection bla bla bla,got scared and well? ireally wish for a change... so from what u all said.i think i'll get the contact but not for constant wears...?right?thanks y'll!
Contacts can have problems, but so can glasses. I have no peripheral vision because of my glasses, and that's not good for driving. When you have contacts, there is a chance that the lens will get stuck in your eyelid, but you have peripheral vision. Take into consideration which option would be best for your lifestyle. Athlete? Contacts. Book reader? Might as well go with the glasses.
i use both. Contacts give me better vision, especially peripheral vision. They also are not effected by the rain or humidity which is great because it drives me crazy when steam from cooking fogs up my glasses. My glasses are great too though, especially for when i just get up or if my eyes are getting a bit sore after wearing contacts all day. Also, they are purple and fun!
I have contacts and glasses. I hate putting my contacts on but its worth it lol. I hate wearing glasses but contacts are the best :) U should get contacts.
You should get contacts and glasses just in case you feel like wearing one or the other.
get both for what ever style your feeling
i would go for contact lenses
