What is the best concert you have attended and why?

I’ve been to quite a few concerts over the years, the one I enjoyed most was James Taylor. There were at least three generations of attendees there and from all walks of life. The entire diverse crowd was united especially when he played You’ve got a friend for the last song. All 10,000 people swayed back and forth holding hands. I took a date and it worked out well. Seen JT 4 more times over the years.

The best concert I’ve went to was one by Larry Norman. His music isn’t my typical thing (he’s a christian musician, I’m an athiest), but I was genuinely entertained when I went to see him. He was extremely friendly and talked to everyone who went up to see him after he was done his show, he made a lot of jokes, signed autographs, etc. His music was pretty cool too.

I don’t know if Warped Tour would be considered one cause there are a lot of people playing at it… but the best from warped tour playing was Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, New found Glory..ect We had great bands the year I went!!!!!! But if that didn’t count I would def sy Paramore!!! and cause I got to see her play with her two fantastic guitar players that just recently left the band.

Thanks for sharing that. I’ve never heard of him. Glad you enjoyed the company of a Christian person. I have a good friend who is an athiest and I enjoy his company too. It’s a big ole goofy world. ( a John Prine song)

The Rolling Stones “40 Licks” tour in 2002 - 2003. I went to the concert in Marseilles in the summer of 2003. It was very significant for me because I first saw them 40 years earlier at the Empire Pool in London in September 1973.

1992, Guns N’ Roses/Metallica co-headline tour. It was epic to see Guns N’ Roses original members onstage on their prime. Axel flanked by Slash and Duff doing Sweet child of mine encore! And to think you still had a whole concert from Metallica right after! It was like a three hour concert.

Answer #19

Oh yeah, when I heard guns and roses first album I was in awe. What a band, the real deal. It’s a shame what happened to them, they coulda been another aerosmith or stones if they stayed together. Axal was a great front man.
