How can I get my computer to play videos without skipping?

Whenever I watch videos on youtube or try to watch a movie online, instead of it looking like a video or movie, it looks like a slide show, it’s not showing everything…it skips. Like if someone is talking, you don’t see their mouth move, you just see expressions on their face change every few seconds.

it depends on a few different things, you may have a bad dvd drive and need to replace it, or you computer is dirty.

Or your memory(RAM) is going bad. OR your hard drive. Or your processor is too slow. Cooling could be an issue.

update flash to the latest… go to your youtube page and click you username at the top - Account - Playback Setup. now select ‘I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video.’

see if that helps.

Make it colder. It could be heating up. my friend would hook up a tube he could put dry ice in and the speed would skyrocket.
