What are the best companies to invest in the stock-market?

Answer #1

I have no idea about the markets right now and what is going on,however I believe Warren Buffet said that the best companies to invest in is companies with little gearing (i.e. not a lot of debt) and who operate mainly on a cash basis. Also an experiment was performed (unfortunately I am unable to find the link) which had 3 groups of people invest in the stock market.

  1. Kindergarden kids
  2. Young Adults
  3. I’m not sure but I believe either teenagers or experienced investors

Anyways the kindergarden kids won because the invested in companies which they recognised from TV and made the most money from that.

They invested in Large Cap Funds. Large cap funds are blue chip companies that have been established with a length of successful bussiness ventures. But It is actualy illegal to answer that question without knowing more information. There is a Law that FINRA eposes that says there needs to be suitability because you might be looking for income and someone else might be looking for capital appreciation. It is also illegal to put that information on a publicly visible site where multiple people will read it and have different suitabilities. Suitability requires income, age, tangible assets, liquid assets, and etc. Not all stocks can be suitable. But if you are not sure what type of stocks you are looking for then you should speak to an advisor and see what they say. Stocks might not even be the reccommendation that they give to you depending on your scenario. Sorry i could not answer the question directly.
