Do you have to get colored contacts (just for looks) from an eye doctor?

When my daughter got hers from WalMart, she had to have an eye exam first.

Even if they sell it I advise you to always get your eyes tested first. The reason is that you can get permanent eye damage which involves blindness if your contact lenses aren’t fitting your eye right. (I recently read a really disturbing article about it).

Yes you need to see a eye doctor for the perscription. And also contact exams are not covered by most insurances. Also colored contacts are for one day use and are not cheap.

Do you know if they accept Medicaid? or about how much it will all cost me to get the eye exam and contacts?

it should be about 50-60$$.. tho it should be covered through insurance

if you actually need contacts you need a prescription, but if their the special colored kind and you just want them for fun use or something, then you have to buy them like any other normal item=with cash, not medicaid. :( it sucks!

I live in North Carolina…we have wal-mart, magic mart, and things like that…what part of wal-mart would they be in?

u need to get perscribed and fitted for it or something and they send them to u in the mail thats what my dad said cuz iwanted brown contacts even tho my eyes are brown but they would change to hazel and green and pple would always ask if i had contacts or they would keep looking at me and it got on my nerves

i personally love brown eyes, not cuz i have them .i just do i used to love blue eyes but i got lots of compliments with brown eyes its not always the color u know. it could be the way they are shaped or how long ur lashes are i still think blue eyes r super perdy but brown eyes r really warm and friendly and soft looking i like chochlate brown and redbrown:)
