is it hard to study when living in dorms?and can you request a roommate for family or cultural reasons???

It depends on what school you go to and who your roomate is. also- in most colleges im pretty sure if your having trouble with your roomate, you can work out some sort of arrangement to move into a new dorm or to get your roomate replaced, with student services or something.
of course theyre not going to get kicked out of school or anything, but most likely if he/she is a partier, and your not, he/she probably doesnt like you anyway. so he/she will appreciate this.
