Answer #5

three hours is enough time to have two lessons (consist of to subjects) @ 90 minutes. The lecturer usually gives more homework. Or they can compose the schedule as: 60 minutes explanation, 60 minutes discussions and 60 review. as long as it is daily then 3 hours is enough

Answer #6

i don’t get it? the lecture will be talking for 3 hrs or assigning class work..or asking us to read silently..i am new to college srry for the dumb questions?

Answer #7

the 3 hours is usually devided into two or three sessions with some 10 minutes in between. I am a teacher of pre college students. in my country. well there must be some differences but we have 90 minutes pes session, then 15 minutes break before we start the second sessions. The activity may vary, depends on the lecturer. Usually explanation, practice and evaluation. :)

Answer #8

usually we have two different lectures though…

Answer #9

so does that mean i will be getting a break..i didn’t know n a class u get breaks..i only have just 2 classes for a semster..i got 2 times a week for 3 hrs each class..tues and thur

Answer #10

Yes, depending on the subject it is time in your life that is either very fun, or time that is lost to you forever. School is the necessary evil this day and age.

Answer #11

We used to have 4 hour classes with one break in between. They cover a variety of topics, usually a few chapters within such a session. Don’t worry about it, but try and prepare for the class before hand i.e. read through the chapters that you’ll be doing in class, that way you won’t feel as lost in your first class.

Answer #12

Yes, I’ve had plenty of classes where they lecture for 3 hours. The professor will probably take at least 1 break. But don’t count on it. I had a professor who would go non-stop for 3 hours. It just depends on the professor. You’re really going to have to go to class and see how your professor works. And in most U.S. colleges, you do not spend any time on homework within class. The professor has better things to do than babysit you while you do work. As for discussion, that will depend on your professor. I had a professor who liked to discuss assigned research articles, but she was a rarity. 3 hours is really not that bad.

Answer #13

i had a 3 hr class once. it sucked cuz it was so boring and i didn’t have to take notes. so i just sat there. for the 3 hrs being lecture on things i didnt have to take notes on since that teacher just gave us the power point notes. and that might sound easy but it was hard. and really boring i rather take my own notes

Answer #14

so i will be sitting there 4 3 hrs lol.. i wonder if its power point notes for me..i rather just copy

Answer #15

dang non stop ..i hope i get that hr lol..what did the professor and students do when u guys got that hr..just read silently?

Answer #16

how many times a week do you have the class?

Answer #17

i bet its gonna be boring but oO well..
