Clothes for school

I started goning to a non mainstream school in november last year and there is a non uniform rule so it is basically own clothes everyday. It is the first 6 weeks that I have had that I dont need to get uniform but I dont know what to do. Should I get like a new set of clothes or buy a lot of tops/jeans/shoes because to be honest I need a lot of clothes so if I just buy tops I alo need jeans but I need more than 1 set but it will cost too much! So its not like I will be able to get lots. Plus I dont know what everyone else usually gets and I dont want to turn up being odd. This sounds pathetic I know but please help
