At the time my family is not on a good financial situation so I cant go into gymnastics but I really want to be a cheerleader in the winter I can make the jv but whati really want to do is to be able to do toe touches backflips back handsprings and pretty much the works..how will I be able to do this without taking gymnastics? P.s im really close to doing a split =)
ok I have the same problem. I have been cheerleading 4 almost 7 years now and cant really do gymnastics thats whats keeping me off of the varsity team at my school. my family isnt financialy stable so I couldnt pay for gymnastics like the others on my team. My advice is to stretch really well like reach for your toes sit and a stradel and reach like that try and streatch every day it really helps and its awsome you almost have a split... it really helps with your jumps and when you start gymnastics it will help then to
You could try an exercise dvd for pilates and yoga...you can get them pretty cheap on amazon and you can look at reviews from customers. There are gymnastics dvds as well but generally I think they are more expensive. You could also try a gymnastics book which would have instructions on how to do different jumps and stretches? small clinics. some gymnstics gyms do them they are $20-$25 and its only one day :DD good luck!
