Earlier yahoo was providing domain name registration very cheap for the first year. When I go to yahoo I could not find ther any of yahoo's cheap domain name register either free or cheap or any offer. Is there any announcements from yahoo regarding yahoo's domain name registration with offer? Do any of my FA members have any information on yahoo domain name register kindly post it here, I shall come back to check it.
I honestly use godaddy for much of my own sites. They are cheap and fairly reliable just so long as you don't need to run a fullscale business site which takes tons of bandwidth. The Yahoo services really scare me. Their market position in the past five years has been dismal at best and their track record with their own customers is not too good at all. I once heard a former employee of Yahoo say "You'd think by the way they do business that they really hate their customers."
I took a quick look and saw a link to domain names on the home page listed under their small business header. http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/domains/
But for myself I don't use Yahoo for domain names. I get a lot more tools that allow me to do much more at enomcentral.com
I've been paying 9 bucks per year for a domain to register or to renew.
I can use my own nameservers, edit any of the MX records and handle any redirect or bounce page I want to use.
This is where I buy my domains and I have hundreds www.zuxm.com they have 99 cent domains for sale right now and $6.95 for .com every year no price increase.
