cell phone upgrades(verizon)

ok so I’ve had an LG voyager from verizon since this time last year. I believe I have a 2 year contract. does that mean I can upgrade my phone without paying full price? if so what different cell phones could I get? and if I wanted to upgrade lets say now, could I? would it cost anything? thanks! :]

You MIGHT be able to get a discounted upgrade, but it won’t be free. The best thing to do if the phone is in your name is to call them directly —

Your alternative would be to use something like E-Bay and get one really cheap there — you’ll want to make sure if you go this route that you get the ESN number of the phone an make sure it’s not blacklisted. It would suck to pay for a phone the company wont activate.

As to which new(er) phone you can get — depends on which route you go. If it’s direct, then it’ll be whatever phone will work in your plan (unless you want to change plans) and whatever they’re offering at the moment. Visit their webpage to see that.
