how do catholic people feel about people wearing rosary beads as jewelery??

Answer #1

It’s not so much about the beads themselves, but the symbols. Alot of jewelery like that is bought and sold among catholic people. I’m not sure why, it’s just popular among us. They sell rosary-beaded bracelets too. It’s an optional thing amungst the religion, not everyone has to wear it. I’m a catholic. :)

Answer #2

I don’t mind it as long as it’s not worn mockingly. I do not mock anyone’s beliefs, so I don’t like mine mocked.

Answer #10

I consider myself catholic and don’t have a problem with it. Sometimes I’ll even wear it under my blouse when I go out :)

Answer #11

It is a trend to wear rosaries now-days. As a fashion statement, not as a religious gesture. I don’t have a problem with it as I am not Catholic. But I can understand why others may find it blasphemous and disrespectful.

Answer #12

No, they are of course a type of jewelry.

Answer #13

i am catholic and in my opinion and sometimes i feel disrespected.. if you do not believe in god or by anyway anything relating to the crucifixion cross, i find it disrespectful… i believe anyone can wear it, but have an understanding that religion is behind it… not just fashion…. i wear one under my shirt… apparently i cant wear it out because my school says its “Gang Related”…. which i find it wrong and contradicts 1st amendment ….. but everyone in my family either wears one or have one set up in the car or somewhere in their bedroom like me:)

Answer #14

I do believe in God and Jesus Christ .

Answer #15

Then don’t just wear it for fashion. Stay aware that it represents the time Jesus sacrificed himself for us. If you understand this concept and don’t brag about “how cool it looks” than i don’t find it disrespectful. P.S. I am not saying your bragging i’m just saying don’t do it..

Answer #16

Umm if youre not Catholic all i would say is understanad what it means and to not miss use it
