I'm getting braces on Tuesday. The metal kind with no colors, no headgear: pretty much just normal braces. I have glasses too. Can I just stop wearing my glasses? I've worn them all the time for 2 years and my mom wont get me contacts until Christmas so for the next month or so can I stop wearing my glasses?
if it's only for a month or so that you're not going to be wearing your glasses then I think it would be a good idea to at least keep them with you at all times just in case you want to put them on to see something clearly. but be carefull because people who don't wear glasses and need them tend to become worse with their eyesight over time. they become blinder faster. but of course you're only doing this for a month or so. it shouldn't be that bad at all. good luck. :)
yes... but you need to at least wear them during reading and at night and when not in school are in public. is it like a retainer? because if it is then just wear your glasses because you cant really see it. I have a retainer and a spacer and glasses. my retainer looks like braces and I will have it until january. it is purple and lime green. so yeah wear your glasses as much as possible but not in public or at school!! Hope I helped!!!
Medically, there's nothing that says you can't stop wearing your glasses. That is, nothing bad will happen to you other than you might get headaches from squinting and straining your eyes. But why would you want to? If it comes down to seeing clearly and not seeing clearly, the first option seems like the way to go. Besides, haven't you seen Vogue lately? Glasses are in.
I would think if you have been wearing glasses for 2 years your eyes should be pretty dependent on them now. Even a very light prescription with full time wear will be hard now to go without. You will NOT do any harm to your eyes, but I think if you are happy seeing clearly leave your glasses on and not worry about it.
if you cant see properly without them, I would say no you dont want to strain your eyes too much as it can be harfmull to them in the long run you should see a doctor/optomitrest and ask wether your vision s good enough to go without them for a month though
if you see without them yes but there's nothing wrong with braces and glasses. I had them, I guess I didn't look like a nerd. Nobody told me anything btw I understand the contacts thing... going through it...
No glasses? Oh well. If you stop wearing the glasses you'll be weird and blind. Running into things. Just hang in there until xMas
No you can't stop wearing glasses, it'll result in eye strain, which will result in your prescription (eyesight) getting worse.
Unless you want to be bumping in to things until christmas there isn't anything you can do
u will just have to cope sry
