Can These Dogs Breed?

Can a rhodesian ridgeback and a beagle breed???

Answer #1

Hi,

They can, with your help. A lot depends on which one would be the Mother. The Ridgeback could easily carry beagle puppies. If the beagle was pregnant with Ridgeback puppies, she may need a C-Section as the puppies could grow too large for her vaginal opening.

regardless, don’t breed them unless you have homes for them already. Between 6 and 8 millions dogs and cats are put to sleep every year because of overpopulation. I work in a shelter and see it all the time.

Answer #2

They can but I would not do it. That would be terrible. I know that a dog is very inventive when they are in heat. The Female will even kneel if she is the larger dog to accomdate the smaller male.

Answer #3

Are you going to do this on PURPOSE??? I sure as hell hope not…

well I dont know what a rhodesian ridgeback is but as long as they are both dogs they can breed dosent mean the will be very pretty just depends… I have seen a lab/ chiuaua ( how ever you spell it) before and the chiuaua was the mother so anything is possible…

Answer #5

yes they can breed, but will the puppies be very cute or of any use (I.e. hunting) most likely not, I really can’t see them as a desired dog, however; everyone had their own taste
