Can't seem to lose weight

Hi. I’m on a quest to lose some major weight. I’m pushing 260 pounds at the moment which is more then I weighed when I was pregnant. This is a sample menu and aprox calories that I’ve been eating per day for a week and a half. I’ve not lost ANY weight. Not a single pound. And I’ve been good. Only getting about 30 minutes of exercise a day, though. Do I need to step that up, or am I simply still eating too much? I’m feeling a bit blue and don’t know if that might be contributing, but needless to say, I’m getting REALLY frustrated.

Lunch: 1 cup chili

      5 crackers            

Snack: 1 Lean Cuisine panini

Dinner: 1 LC flatbread samich

       1 LC chk alfredo         

Total Calories: aprox 1277

Excersize more, a lot more. You body will naturally adjust to your calorie intake over time, unless you force your metabloism to rev up through excersize. the 30 min a day rule for excersize, is a little flase, 30minutes of sweating hard is what it should be . If it takes you 15 minutes to warm up and 5 for a cool down period - you’re only doing about 10 minutes of actual fat burning excersize.
As to peacebby - you can’t lose weight in just one area - when you lose fat you lose it everywhere. I would suggest a 30-45 minute run (not walk/jog) followed by 30 minutes with free weights (5 - 10 lb weights to tone without building bulk)

golly. I need to lose weight too. im 5’10 and 176. is that terrible. what excersises can I do. I have been doing crunches, but I want my love handles to go away too.

I’m not exactly sure on height. Let’s say 5’4. I weight 260 lbs at the moment.

(Yes, I know. YIKES!!) But at least I’m finally trying to do something about it.

if you cant seem to lose weight, despite anything I think it would be worth going to the doctor to get your thyroid checked to see if you have hypothyroidism, a contition causing dry skin, mood issues, and weight gain

Your BMI IS 45 which means you are obese and your weight should be atleast 145 pounds.The first thing you should start with is Logging.Then start with low caloric foods.

Well, okay. I’m doing that bit, so far. Keeping a food journal, etc. Increasing activity, eating healthier and less. Drinking lots or water. Sigh Thanks, though. I’m not giving up, but this is… Ridiculous.

You can also fast maybe for one month.That might help.
