my dog is pregent and she too small and im so concern for her when she will have her puppies..that day when she will have the puppies and if she pull little and the puppy is half way can we pull or help some how..by the way its a Chihuahua..

I have chihuahua’s and whelp two liters from them, may female is 4lbs and my male is 6lbs, I also work at a vet hospital. I reccomend that around day 58-62 you go to the vet and get a x-ray done, this way they can measure her pelvic bone and the size of the puppies heads, you will also know how many to expect. If you have never whelp a liter before their is a lot you should know. I will help you with any questions you have. or you can look up on the internet. Gestation and whelping for Chihuahua’s. They first liter she had 3 and did very well, but I had to assit a little bit with ripping open the sac’s, her second liter was only 1 and she did have a c-section. Take her to an animal hospital for assisstance, your concern is very reasonable, but don’t take a chance, get her checked out and see what you can do to help.

no dont do that because it will tremendously hurt the dog and she might go into shock the only thing you can do is pet her head and comfort her talk to her and that will bring the pain down I breed pitbulls
