Can I get a job? First CV's?

Hi, I live in the UK. Some of the summer jobs I want to apply for say you have to be 16 and have to have a national insurance card, well I’m 15 (almost 16 in less than 2 months) and my national insurance card came through 2 weeks ago, do you think they would still let me work there? Also if they ask to see a CV, what do I write since I have no previous employment?!

A CV is your life story. Short of work experience you can put where you go to school, any awards, achievements, and official recognition you have received. Any civic or volunteer work you have done (though avoid putting anything in that will reveal your political or religious leanings). Nobody is expecting a CV for a teenage to be a book, just remember to put your most impressive achievements down because your CV is basically marketing material for your potential employers.

I don’t know what the laws are over there so I have no idea how old you have to be to legally work in the UK.

Answer #2

you just leave it blank
