What should I know about buying a violin considering I'm a beginner?

You HAVE to continue?? What do you mean? Oh, haha, well I because I’d be a beginner, I figured I’d just buy a cheap one from ebay for practice reasons(self-taught). I was just wondering any tips for that. Like the sizes 4/4 3/4 and whatever they are etc.

My dad wants me to continue, our family’s suppose to be uh musical. (x I have a full size 4/4, before you buy one from the internet, like i said, go to music stores, like any guitar store should have them, & ask if you could see the sizes & i’m sure they’ll let you test them out & see if yer a full size. If yer not then i don’t think you should buy one (just rent like i did for about a year) until you can fit a fullsize comfortably. (can’t spell sorry lmao.)
