I had a spider in our bathroom (which I left him there because we have ants in there too) but I moved him because he wasnt catchin any thing (I caught him in a jar) he was tiny, but his 2 front legs were long, it was brown in color and had white lines on his top abdomen and belly, any body have any idea what kinda spider this is!?
The white lines give him away--his "racing stripes" its probably a wolf spider. They must be out heavy everywhere this year. This is probably the 4th question this week, and I have been killing them left and right this year. He sounds like a little guy, but they can get huge! As far as I know they are non-toxic--but their bite causes a lot of swelling and a pretty good amt of pain.
Here is a list of 11 common New York spiders. The brown one almost sounds like the Sac Spider (poisonous) but in a way it doesn't. Since you seen it you can make that determination. The second one I can't really decide. Either way, here's the link:

haha whats there to be sorry about? I acutally hate spiders but your right, I live in ny and most spiders aren't poisonous here. I was just cerious as to what kind it was.
I think its just a common house spider but we do have orb spiders here
I live in new york,USA. Skaneateles.
we have these black spiders too, but they have white dots all over them. now these ones are actually a little bigger then your thumb nail .. so ugly
ummm I have never heard of them. but if he's tiny then I dont think you have to worry because most tiny house spiders arent dangouse
SORRY
