Brother trouble
My brother is one of those popular kids who is a class clown and the “tough” guy. He always gets into fights and suspended. All of the people at school think he is awesome for that! He gets all the girls, so he’s cool. He is so cool to be around when we are at home, but when he is with his friends he acts so different and I hate it! He always calls me swears and bad names. It really embarasses me in front of his friends. He doesn’t no how I feel because I haven’t talked to him bout it becuase I think he will make fun of me for it. And he will say, “ no I never do that stuff to you.” when really he does do bad stuff to me. Sometimes he throws stuff at me or hits me. Urggg!! He really bothers me somtimes!! I hate it!! Any help? Any sugestions how to tell him he hurts me and I don’t like it?
thats just one of those things man. When I was younger my older bro did the same thing to me. curse of being a younger brother, we all went through it
Hi, It is hard to suggest anything without knowing your brother’s character. Do you remember when this name calling started? Was anything particular on that day? Does he insult you when you are alone with him? This could be important.. may be he thinks that it is “cool” to insult his sister in front of his friends. Or may be he is not comfortable when you are around when he is with his friends.. Dunno.
Try to talk to your parents privately. But get them to promise that they will not reveal the discussion to your brother. May be they will suggest something. If you think this is not possible than you need to talk to your brother when he is alone.
