I literally just broke up with my boyfriend..all my friends are all loved up and the last two years I was ok with it cause I was too..I have also been let go from my job..I feel empty and in a rut I just dont know what to do..
Just becos your friends are living their life one way doesnt mean you do to, you are an individual. Now you obviously had your reasons to break up with your bf, being with someone just becos you are lonely and all your friends are is no real reason to be with somebody. So what if you're single!!!!! enjoy it. It time for you to pay a lil attention to yourself and get yourself together. Im sorry to hear about your job, now what you have to do is go find something you really want to do and start working towards a whole new you, in a few months you look stronger and more independant and focussing on yourself your friends will be jealous of you! someone better will come along trust me, just relax and take some 'me-time' for now. things always get better, keep smiling :)
I wouldn't use a relationship to describe who you are. They are your friends and I am sure the "love feeling" you are sensing will pass and hopefully they can maintain some of that honeymoon phase intensity throughout their relationsip. relationships can affect us in very intense ways, but they do not define us unless we are marrying a celebrity. Make life bend to your for a while and check your path. Don't rely on being "gembabe & Exguy". Be you and exude confidence. Men will be trailing after you to share any of life's experiences with. Just don't make the partnership and end goal because life isn't that short sometimes.
I think these dark times can be very liberating because there are so many options ahead. I know you dont see them right now but you never know what will turn up. I know it feels like it, but your job and boyfriend dont define you. You are a strong person with a sense of self. Start getting busy...network, clean, volunteer. Start filling your live. There are more opportunites with jobs and men then you can even see right now but the important thing is filling yourself up first. YOU WILL BE OKAY!! BE STRONG!!!
Your friends cant be "loved up" if you mean they dont have enough love to go around, then they shouldnt be your friends. Friends always have enough compassion to help you through tough times. Maybe you need to join an afterschool activity or like a sport or something to keep you occupied.
