we were having a debate in history class about the positive and negative side of it. i told them about how my Grandad had to do 2 years of national service and it taught him alot of skills he used in the future and taught him alot of maners ect. but then other people thought they should only send people there instead of jail or refuse to go to work to earn a living.what do you think should they bring it back or not?
national service isnt about giving young people weapons....they did national service back when WW2 started and people had to enter at 18...they went into war, they had guns they experienced it.like i said in the info my Grandpa had to do it and it taught him alot of skills.
and we all know that "teh" isnt a word in the english language he knows it to its just the way he spells it nothing wrong with it.
if national security is at risk then I say conscription should be put in effect, but we should also be wary of a would-be dictator who would use conscription to increase his influence.
Basically conscription would be a last-resort thing in my oppinion.
i dont like the idea of it, people should have freedom of choice and being forced to serve is not fair. however putting criminals in the service is def not a good idea either. i think it should stay on a volunteer basis
Great idea- give young (listless) people experience with weapons... DUH? Is there not enough violence in today's world? BTW "teh' is not a word in the English language...
to be honest i think it would be life changing for them so they dont just be pathetic idiots who think its alright for them to do what they like.
i agree with you,but i think in someways they should bring it back to teach people some life skills.
yes and yea again.... give these smelly, stay in bed all day youngsters a taste of teh real world
i know... they walk round in hoodies, on cheap phones giving it the large lol
I agree with Owlhumper. I totally disagree with conscription.
LOL! stop talking about me like that >.<! i joke :P
