Can you bring cigarettes on a plane?

Security regulations keep changing so im confused about what exactly you can and can’t do. Lots of people say that you can take it as carry-on or checked luggage, but last time i was told that my mum had to pay for the carton she had in her checked luggage. Also, what if you’re underage? They wouldn’t notice with checked luggage but can they confiscate it if you have it in your pocket or something?

Answer #1

I got off a plain yesterday and my sister carried them with her hand luggage and she is 14 so i suppose so but you aren’t allowed to smoke them. Hope that helps but it might be just the airline i travelled with.

Answer #2

what airline were you on? my flight is indirect so i get searched with my bags more often than most flights. I’m flying with Uzbekistan, coz an indirect flight was all that was left at the time i looked for a ticket. We only switch planes once though.

Answer #3

Yeah your aloud to have them, you just can’t smoke them. I was on the plane friday night & saturday morning & this guy had one on his ear waiting for the plane to stop haha.

Answer #4

what about just tobacco, like in a pouch or something?

Answer #5

Yes, you can have them. Although, if you have a lighter, it’s considered a weapon.
