What brand of shoe are the best for someone with flat feet?

Answer #1

To be honest, people that have flat feet tend to suffer a lot from getting the wrong fitted shoes/sneakers/boots! We dont always like what is comfortable like Orthopedic Shoes. Sometimes the particular shoes we do like will hurt our feet & wind up causing us back aches as well especially when standing for many hours.
I can say that I have read that running shoes are best for people with flat feet, yet with that said i would still recommend seeing an orthopedist. consultation never hurts and can be more Persis!

hope this helped.

Answer #2

I have horrid flat feet and other feet problems. I went to see the people who make orthotics (forgot name) and they recommended I wear New Balance and Saucony because of the better support in those shoes. Also look for shoes with a nice shaped padding on the bottom. Echo or Bass is great for this. When you push on it it’s nice and soft, and you’ll find a arch on the padding.

Answer #3

I had the same problem. You should go out and get orthotics.

Answer #4

Yep those are great, you can use it with any shoe too, you don’t have to worry about buying certain shoes because you can just shove them into whatever shoe and be comfy.

Answer #5

are the foot pads expensive?

Answer #6

thts wt i have heard too… my foot are flat like wooden plank lol

Answer #7

Orthotics are pretty expensive, because it is customized for your feet. You can always just buy those foot pads at a drug store where prices can vary. But shoes I find at Echo or Bass, have nicer bottoms than other shoes where it is just flat and hard.

Answer #8

Oh but Orthotics depending on where you live and where you go, can be covered by OHIP where I live. So you should check that out, they’re great.

Answer #9

then by all means dear, I wouldnt play around with that, trying all sorts of different brands just yet…you dont need the waste of money til the doctor can offer you the best advice they can offer you. Once there ask about what they think may be right for you…if they say try so & so then go to a nearest shoe stores or sneaker stores…(what ever you fancy!) and then just notify the sales representative that you have flat feet & need some comfortable shoes/sneakers. I am sure they will measure your foot & find something according to your size.

I wish you luck & hope you find something comfortable. Have fun shopping when you do! :)
