Why can't he make up his mind?

Its not your job to make him want to stay, you have been with him for 3 years now so nothing you randomly do now will matter. If he is confused and wants some time alone to do his own thing then theres not much you can do hun, if you put on the water works and guilt him into staying with you he will only be with you becos he feels guilty, not becos he wants to be. You need to be strong about this, and let him go. Its gonna hurt like hell i completely understand but we have all been thru it, be mature and let him go. Let him get a taste of what life is like without you now, and he may like it which means he wasnt the guy meant for you and you can move on, or he might hate it and realise he made a mistake and come back. But he just sounds like he needs time out of the relationship thats all.
