This is why its best to not lend money to people, especially those close to you. It usually becomes a problem and it can ruin relationships and friendships. Just tell him that you were expecting the money back because you needed it for something. Theres really no easy way to say “hey jerk, pay me my money back already”. lol

I would just sit him down and ask him when he will be able to pay you what he owes you. Just be upfront about it. That’s the best way.
