What is my blood type i know that doctors in ukraine say + 1 but how do u say it in usa does anyone know?

The International Society for Blood Transfusion recognizes the ABO system of typing along with rh (- or +) I would assume the + is your rh type…so you are rh positive. The 1 might mean you are A, B, O or AB. It really does not matter what type you are unless you are just curious. It does not matter if you had your blood tpye tattooed on your forehead…if you are injured and need a transfusion or want to donate…you will still be typed and cross matched if you need a transfusion. If you are worried about receiving blood during a scheduled operation, you may give autologous units (your own red cells and plasma, separated and frozen) ahead of time.
