How can I repair my Blonde highlight turned gray?

I have natural dirty blond hair and used to color all of it with a kit from the local drug store. About three months ago I colored it too dark and decided to go to Sally’s. I talked with a sales lady there and she told me how to highlight my hair. It turned out very well the first time.

The second time I wanted to color my hair a little darker and then put highlights in them but I don’t think I went dark enough. So the third time (NOT the charm!) I colored my hair to a “medium brown”. Now I need help desperately! It turned my highlights gray (and there are a good bit of highlights!) I do not have the money to have this professionally done so can you please tell me, in layman’s terms, what I can do to repair my hair FAST??? Thanks in advance for your expeditious handling regarding this matter!

omg the same thing happened to me!!!

I used a darker blonde to color in my grayish hair.

but if that doesn’t work use a light brown.
