What birth control pills lighten periods?

The Depo Shot really lightens it & can even stop it completely. It’s easier than pills. One shot every 3 months instead of pills everyday. + Free @ Planned Parenthood.

The Depo shot, according to my doctor should be used only as a last resort. Pretty much any birth control can lighten your period. It just depends on you and how you react to it. Some girls have to try several different kinds before finding one that works for them. For me, the nuvaring lightened it and lessened my cramps a lot, and I only had to worry about it once a month! So that worked out well for me.

Isn’t the nuvaring something you stick up there and it stays..?

Yes, it’s an alternate to the pill. There’s also the patch that’s just like a sticker that you change every week. Or the merena IUD. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist he/she will give you lots of information on all your different choices and decide with you which one is best and will suit you best.

Most pills you can take so you only get your period 4 times a year. Your period is way lighter and shorter during those times too.
