yes to prove ur age...because legally tattoo shops r not suppose to tattoo anyone under 18....i know that some do thow...but u wood rather go to a tattoo shop that follows the law so u know ur getting the best service as far as sanitation
Like Colleen and Janicee said, it's to prove your age because going by what you look isn't always accurate and I'm sure the folks doing the piercing do not want to get in trouble with the law.
To prove you are old enough or the company doing the piercing could be prosecuted if you were found to be under age.
Because you have to be a certain age to get your piercing without a parent.
