Is it possible for a bird's leg or wing to heal on its own?

Answer #1

It cud but it probably won’t heal properly

Answer #2

A birds leg can’t heal on it’s own. If it’s broken, it can’t move it. My friends bird died after it broke it’s leg because they left it in the cage and it wasnt able to move at all. I think it’s the same with wings. It’s better to tape the wing back onto the bird.

Answer #3

its possible but unlikley. just like its possible a persons leg could heal on its own. however, it ill rarely heal properly and will most likley heal in a way that hurts when is moved or strains the bones, meaning it would need to be brokwn again and surgery done to correct it

Answer #4

usually bird wings or legs are returned to their proper orientation and splinted so they heal properly. but in according to the laws of nature- a broken wing or leg (without human assistance) is usually a death sentence- a bird that can’t walk or fly is just waiting to be caught by a predator.

Answer #5

Yes, but it has to be taped back into place and you need to make sure the bird gets medication to prevent infection.
