Big decision

I’ve just been in long meetings all day long, and have been asked to move to new york to be a full time music promoter. I guess my whole deal is that I moved from texas to nevada 2 years ago, and I have had success that I thought would never be possible! Its amazing. but they have offered me double what I make right now which is insane, pay for all living expense among other things.

The only thing that im hung up on is that im perfectly fine where im at now and love it here in tahoe. I don’t really need to make anymore money, but should I take this oppurtunity and run with it when I really don’t need to? Or maybe I should just take this oppurtunity and branch out to one of the biggest music markets and start from scratch like I did two years ago…

If you had something like this come up in your life how would you take it? Would you start all over in a new place even though your happy where your at right now?!

Answer #1

I think it sounds great where you are - I know I’d enjoy it lots more - not fighting traffic, missing the scenery - two biggies for me - you know if you’re very good at your craft, they will come to you…I wish you the best !!

Answer #2

I think you should take some time to think about it and listen to what you are telling yourself, based on this question, sounds like you don’t want to go

Answer #3

I’d do it. people would kill to be in your position.

Answer #4

I’d do it too. Like someone else said - someone would kill to be in your spot! Go for it! Its what YOU love. Its what YOU like to do. Besides, if you don’t like it, can’t you just go back home??
