Okay, so, I don't know how long ago my piercing was done. I let my friend Melynda do it. It was good, good, good, good, for weeks apon end. I'm sure it hasn't been a full month yet. My friend Jessica's peircing got infected. I called her to ask her what it looked like when it is infected. She said it was red/purple on the tip of hers. Mines not red/purple. It's still new, so it's still kind of a red color. She told me to use Sea salt to clean it, but it was hard to find around my house. So My other friend Jessi gave me her piercing cleaner for her ears, we mixed it up with rubbing alcohol. That worked wonders. It felt great. Then My mom bought me a new ring. So I switched rings, then I ran out of the piercing cleaner/rubbing alcohol. So I found rubbing alcohol around the house and used it. My skin had a reaction to it so I switched over to Hydrogen peroxide. My sister saw Melynda and Melynda said to keep up with the sea salt, So I just cleaned it with some sea salt. It hurts, ever since I got the new ring. Is in infected or what?
no
I got mine done for the 2nd time and I had got 2 more weeks till I can change it you wait 6 weeks to change it you clean it wid bliled water and sult and I been swimming but not to much and the clorine has been cleaning it too but after swimming that night make sure you clean it well good
other wise it would be infected
sometimes something dose come out of the pericing if its sticky then its trying to scab wich is a good thing
it was infected you wouldn't beable to touch it and it wouldn't go ourple just red and probs green go to a tatooist and see wot they think
If it were infected, it would be swollen, tender, very red (purple sounds like bruising to me), and it would have puss coming out of it.
Now, it's going to take some time to heal, so the tenderness may just be from the piercing, itself, as well as the redness, but if you keep cleaning it properly you should be able to sidetrack the possibility of any infection.
I wouldnt change rings untill its fully healed
and bathe it in the morning and every night
