Alcohol in moderation doesnt harm you. Ciggarettes on the other hand harm your lungs everytime you light one up and take a puff. You cann drink in moderation and occasionly and not have any negative side effects from it. Their way of thinking is you can hardly punish the alcohol companies for people over indulging and making stupid choices.
Not to doubt ur intelligance or anything, but doesn't alcohol lead to dui's, deadly crashes, puts u at higher risk for diabetes, alcohol is addictive to, it leads to heart disease, goat, high blood pressure, and a lot of dumb mistakes from a lot of people. It just seems to me that alcohol is just as dangerous as cigarettes

Everything you listed is caused by people misusing alcohol and not drinking responsibly. You see what im saying? Im not exactly agreeing with the commercials but im explaining why they are still allowed. Alcolol when used responsibily and in moderation is not harmful.
alcohol doesnt necessarily lead to duis, stupid people do.
And they shudnt have commercials for alcohol either
