Do I have bedbugs?

okay so a few hours ago, I started watching a movie. and once I got on my bed, I itched. and itched. and itched. and I have heard about new discoveries or whatnot of bed bugs, and I started freaking out.

btw, I had been sleeping just on a matress (w/o a sheet) because the sheet dissapeared and I was too lazy to find it. I also lost my pillow and had been using a smaller pillow for a long while. but I shower every day, and have pretty good hygene. so I put a new clean sheet on my bed, took off all my blankets and replaced them with new ones, but I was still itchy. so I just got out of the shower. still a little itchy, but not as much.

what do I do?? do I have bed bugs? because that is really gross, I had gerbils, and they somehow got these mites all over them and everywhere. they eventually killed my gerbils, and just seeing my cute little dead gerbils with mites crawling all over them and coming out of them just REALLY disturbed me. I know, totally off topic, but im really freaking out.

sorry if I sound really naive, but help asap thank you!!!

when you look at your bed sheet is there little blood stains(like lil dots). if you do have stains you have bed bugs. if you just moved in to that place and you didn’t have them in your other place. then the bed bug are in the wall.like in the corner or carpet. or lil tiny cracks in the wall. you can bomb your house. yes your whole house the bed bugs dont just stay in one room. but the first time wont kill them and you’ll have to do it again. if you find one on your bed and you kill it. the bug has a nasty smell to it. The appartment that I just moved in to has them im moving next month. your going to have to get rid of your matteres cause thats were there new home is. A bed bug can go up to 1year with out blood be for it dies. try and use and air matters they cant climb up the sides its to slippery. heres some pictures that I found on the internet. hope this helps!

Everybody’s got Bedbugs.Theyre on everybodys Beds,Theyre basically small critters that eat the dead skin cells on your bed. To Me,it sound slike maybe you have Fleas in your room. Do you ever see fleas? ((small black bugs)) They also could be Dust Mites. If your itchiness doesnt go away,Try washing your sheets,And Cleaning your room. Or see a doctor and they can tell you what it is

To check for fleas put on a pair of white socks and walk around foe 5 min. Then sit down and cross your legs guy style (ankle or top of opposit knee). Examine the socks for tiny dark specks, anywhere from a grain od salt to twice the size of a pinhead. Gently prod any dark specks. Fleas will move around and jump away, making it look like they just disappeared.

Just as a side note to what the others have said. Never just sleep on the mattress. Bedbugs do live on mattresses as well as dust mites. And not only that, you cannot get the same kind of rest on just a mattress as you can on warm, clean sheets.

Omg not EVERYBODY has Bed bugs… And I doubt its dust mites makking you itch because they are a crucial part of life… We need them to eat are dead skin or otherwise its going to be really dusty.. I watched that on the discovery cchanel yah creepy.. Maybe you got fleas I had the same problems.. Just clean your room really good.. vacuum… spray corners with flea killer.. And check the corners of your matress… and under the top matress you might see bed bug shells.. Maybe you are allerguc to the fiber on your bed so find that sheet!

Wash everything again and bug bomb the room. Its just something that happens when you have pets.

Acutally. You probabnly do have Bedbugs , I’m afraid. Its very common though. Get a plastic sheet to cover the bed so they’ll die cause they come out and night & will eventually suffocate. If you can get rid of your matress and buy a new one , do that immediatly. They will spread & don’t stay in the same room. If you have bites of your ankles thats one proof & if you have them on your arms thats another. You’ll be likely to have them on your arms if you sleep with your hand under the pillow. Also bleach all your clothes and sheets cause they will move.I suggest bombing the house if you can then if you can afford it , buy a new mattress. Hope this helps. Its not dust mites cause everyone has those , & they mean no harm btw. If its fleas you’ll probably have it if you have some sort of animal like a dog or cat. But then you’ll have bites everywhere , & its not just at night you’ll be getting bites so that isnt the case.
