I love the sax
I think that is very subjective on the part of the listener, and also highly dependent upon the virtuosity of the instrumentalist.
However, I think there are a large number of "serious music" enthusiasts (both listeners and instrumentalists) who would choose either the violin or the concert grand piano.

the triangle (silver)
last year we couldnt get my nephew to sleep in his new room and he kept falling asleep downstairs where the triangle was, we realised it was the triangle sounds making him sleep, so attached it to something in his room, 15 mins later he was sleeping with the fairies, weird kid lol
I always seemed to be fond of the Hammered Dulcimer, my good chap. I tell you, men hearsay it was invented by mermaids, using the strands of golden hair locks tied tight around the skeletons of sunken ships. But I feel it was always a Persian instrument through and through.
well for me, i would have to say drums, bass guitar, and electric guitar, but im really into metal and im a screamo band manager so im super used to it, but its what relaxes me
Specially for a jazz buff: a very nice bit of clarinet playing: The Climax Jazz Band - Weary Blues.
heis probably suffering from triangular incidental narcolepsy, but if you let him sleep with fairies every night, you are just encouraging his weirdness.
I would say the harp,or the mandolin. I am a jazz buff, so I would also add the soprano saxophone in the hands of a Master.
Weird,Weird,Weird. Are you Slash from Guns and Roses,or Carlos Santana??
I like that one to, I play the piano but love the sound of the sax mmmmm
The accordion, of course : ) No, but seriously, probably the violin.
I do have others but for this ima say the steel drums - very cool :-)
Thankyou very much,Majikthise. Sounds like a Trad-Jazz outfit?
In my opinion...the piano, harp, violin, flute, and panpipes.
