Bass Guitar Question! Help!?

Hiya is this a good Bass Guitar. I want to start lessons. So im a beginner. And I wanted to know if this was a good one. Heres the details of it: Full size body and scale length guitar. Sunburst colour. Solid body with maple neck and rosewood fretboard with nickel wound strings. Single split coil pick up. Guitar has both volume and tone controls. Outfit includes Blaster 10 watt bass guitar amplifier with 3 band rotary control EQ system and headphone socket, carry bag, one plectrum and tutorial DVD ‘Encore play now’

it would have been helpful if you said what brand it was from but as a beginner, you dont want anything too expensive just something that works that you can play around with and learn on the above sounds like an okay package to get but if you found it on a site like ebay, I might re-consider as a lot of people on ebay will sell you a package deal but with a crappy guitar it might be best to go to a guitar store and check out what theyve got or ask around if any of your friends or there parents has an old bass that theyd let you buy, have or borrow

Well yea a brand would of ben good. But to the band (hollow wood) they say it sounds good! just be careful with the strings. (david the person who helps them out withfacebook)
